How to choose the right Fender?

I know I want to get a Fender strat and the best way for me to know what kind to get is to try them all out, but I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of what the different models sound like or at least what genre of music fits each kind of strat. I play mostly blues music, if that helps. Thanks
