What would you do if an ex who broke your heart before suddenly appeared on your doorsteps?

I’d guess the polite thing to do is invite him in. I’d even offer him coffee and chat for a while so he could see that I'm doing very well. I have forgiven him already and I just want him to see that I have moved on!
