What kind of engine oil would you recommend for a 1999 honda civic?

Well I sure wouldn't use 10w40 unless the engine is using a lot of oil... 10w30 would be best. As far as additives to the oil, the only ones who do good on that is the company who makes it, so waste of your money. But if your like most people, you will do as you wish and spend unecessary money.
