Would u prefer to live in the countryside or in the towns and cities if u had a choice?

I live in an inner city in the north of England. I hate it. The gangs, violence, hostility, dirt and filth, noise, mutual suspicion and dislikes, mental illness, problem after problem after problem. I am poor and living on incapacity benefit. I would dearly love to live away from it all in a peaceful rural haven, woods, forest, etc. It seems to me that to live in the countryside you need lots of money. Even people who are born in the countryside are having to leave (or must live cooped up with parents, etc) because they cannot afford to buy a house or rent privately. The cities are becoming like overheated pressure cookers. All manner of problems are aculating. Its only a matter of time before cracks start to appear and then collapse and turmoil....It's like the last days of the Roman Empire
