Why did Americans and Canadians steal all their city and town names from England?

What a strange way of looking at it ,Nobody stole anything ,English Immigrants settled there and used names from home ,Same in Australia ,When I visited New England ,I thought it was lovely to see all the English place names ,Don't you know the History of the United States ,The Settlers built the towns ,Are you English ,I am embarred to call you a fellow countryman ,Obvious you didn't get much out of the school system here ,America is a very vast Quite beautiful country ,We live in a Small Island ,I find your description of American people offends me ,and you very bigoted
