Is anyone alive out there?

I have been hiding in a bunker for some 50 yrs and i recently invented the internet, i was wondering before i venture out what happened to mankind after the nuclear war? does the human race still exist has it prospered? are there any mutants out there? or other hideous monsters? what groundbreaking events have occurred in history and any important medical advances or brilliant inventions i should know about? many thanks the last surviving human.
